more new ships on the way for 2021

January 2021
2021 is set to be an exciting year for us here at MSC Cruises!
As part of our ambitious expansion plan, this year will see two brand-new ships take to the seas, while delivery of another 10 next-generation cruise ships is due by 2027. Read on to find out more about MSC Virtuosa and MSC Seashore.
Celebrating innovation on MSC Virtuosa
Get ready to feel the spirit of the sea onboard MSC Virtuosa, the sister ship of MSC Grandiosa and the fourth Meraviglia class ship in our ultramodern fleet.
With over 1000m2 of retail space, MSC Virtuosa will have the largest shopping area on any cruise ship with 11 boutiques and over 250 brands.
MSC Virtuosa offers its guests 5 pools, including one of the biggest and most intricate waterparks at sea. There’s also an extraordinary choice of bars and dining venues, from fine dining at the five Specialty Restaurants to casual buffets, all serving freshly-prepared cuisine from around the world.
There are infinite entertainment opportunities designed in partnership with leading experts LEGO® and Chicco® for children, teens, and entire families are a further high note of the journey on board of MSC Virtuosa. And after a full day of fun and entertainment the MSC Aurea Spa and its authentic Balinese pampering treatments will set your body and soul in harmony.
An enhanced guest experience on MSC Seashore
“Each and every ship that we build is different. MSC Seashore is an evolution of the ground-breaking Seaside prototype but this enriched ship has allowed us to further enhance the guest experience with the introduction of new features and facilities as well as some further improvement of the existing ones.”
Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises
The increased size of the ship has allowed for some spaces to be redesigned with the introduction of new public areas as well as optimizing the setting of other areas of the ship. A new double deck show lounge has been created below the aft pool and the indoor pool will be extended with an additional deck over and around the pool. There’ll be an even bigger kids’ area and the ultimate state-of-the-art waterpark.
There will also be new cabin designs like cluster cabins for families and groups. The MSC Yacht Club will offer a new style of suite, with a walk-in wardrobe and 28 more of the terraced cabins with their own private sunbathing area.
Innovative Environmental Technology
MSC Seashore, like MSC Virtuosa, will be fitted with the latest available environmental technology to reduce her environmental impact. From advanced waste water treatment and exhaust gas cleaning systems to smart heating, ventilation, air conditioning and LED lighting, these two ships will lead the way to a sustainable future in cruising.
MSC Seashore will be calling at iconic ports in the Western Mediterranean in her inaugural season in summer 2021, while MSC Virtuosa will be visiting Northern Europe before heading south to the join MSC Seashore in the Mediterranean.
