GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND TO
ENSURE YOUR SAFETY ON BOARD

lpmnlhs

From the moment you being to plan and book to the moment you return home, we have assessed every touchpoint of your holiday and put in place the appropriate health and safety measures every step of the way. Here is what you can expect when booking a cruise with us:

Universal health screening

Every guest is required to complete three steps before prior to embarkation is granted:

-Temperature Check

-Health Questionnaire

-COVID-19 swab test

Anyone with a temperature above 37.5°C, showing other symptoms or who test positive will be denied entry to the ship. If you’re travelling from a high-risk country, you’ll be required to take a molecular RT-PCR test, at least 72 hours prior to joining the ship. Crew are also regularly tested.

Elevated sanitation and cleaning measures

While we’ve always had a focus on cleanliness onboard, we’ve now introduced new cleaning methods and hospital-grade disinfectant. 100% external fresh air is supplied to all cabins and public areas, with no re-circulation between cabins or within the ship.

Social distancing

We’ve reduced the number of guests on board so that we can all follow social distancing guidelines. We’ve also reduced venue capacity and have made changes to activities, to allow for smaller groups. You’ll also be asked to wear face masks where social distancing rules can’t easily be followed, and we’ll deliver fresh ones to your cabin daily.

Enhanced medical facilities

In the very unlikely case that there should be a suspected COVID-19 case on board, we have isolation cabins ready onboard, as well as highly-qualified medical staff on hand with the necessary equipment to test and treat in the Medical Centre.

Ongoing health monitoring

As a precautionary measure while our planet is still in the grips of a pandemic, guests must be accompanied on shore by one of our organised excursions. This means that we can control the movement of our guests and eliminate contact with possible carriers. Guests and crew will also have their temperature checked daily at dedicated stations around the ship, and on entering closed spaces like the restaurant.

MSC Grandiosa has already seen these new measures put into action since August 16th and will continue cruising the Western Mediterranean until the final dpearture from Genova on December 20th.

We couldn't have done it without you!
